Nagalnd Trip (Guwahati Part 3)

Sushi was enjoying Assamese Tali and kept asking for the second serving.

As we enjoyed both breakfast (plus some deserts!)and lunch so much, we could only see a bit of the famous Kamakhya temple before we leave Guwahati. The proverb “Bread is better than the songs of bird” is definitely for us:-) (Well, I love songs of bird though…)

Freshly made bhatoora.
Sushi is helping an uncle in a shop.
A medium size of local river fish. Not salty at all.
Green chilies
Slightly smaller fishes. They tastes better than bigger ones.
Sambar is enjoying his breakfast. Moori (radish) was used for sabji.

The guest house owner where we stayed recommended a local restaurant called Nanoji (NCB Road, Panbazar, Near BSNL Exhange, Guwahati-781001)for Assamese cuisine. We ordered Tali and one chicken dish and fish dish which were recommended by the owner. We really enjoyed Tali. We couldn’t believe that the tali costs only 100 rupee. Each dish was delicious. We definitely try to cook Assamese cuisine when we go back to Hyderabad.
